our goal
Our Goal
Our goal is to have a place where teenagers can look forward to going to and hanging out. Church is more than a boring service that you despise going to. We try to offer a God-centered service that is relevant to the teenagers of today. However, we do not compromise sharing the sacrifice that was made for us on the cross, and the Word that can change a teenager's outlook on life. Not becoming some boring, Bible-beating nerd, but to become the person you were created to be.
We want to impact our students, our town, our community and the world. We do differnt projects throughout each year to fulfill all these expectations.

Cafe' 727
Impact's Coffee House with the atmosphere for teens to chill. We have many drinks to choose from. This is a non-profit operation... you pay what we pay!
The coffee house is also a great way to connect either by volunteering to be part of the team that operates it or by coming early or staying late on Wednesdays to hang out and meet other teens.

Breakout Groups
These groups are divided by age and gender. The purpose of the groups is to help teenagers get plugged in and connected with other teenagers that may be dealing with the same propblems and challenges. They're like a support group. We learn more about God in these groups and we also do separate trips for the groups.
If you want to get connected in a breakout group just talk to Brandy Babineaux or Claire LeJeune or anyone on our leadership team.

Emptiness
Matthew 11:28 - Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
More than 60% of teens today are living in broken homes, and a number of those are being abused verbally, emotionally and physically. This leads to drug and alcohol abuse, unsafe premarital sex, physical violence and a number of other problems.
Suicide
More teens died from suicide than from cancer, heart disease, AIDS, birth defects, stroke, pneumonia, influenza and chronic lung disease combined.
In 1998, among youth ages 10-19 in the U.S., there were 2054 suicides and hundreds of thousands more attempts. More than 20% of our nation's teens seriously plan out their suicide.
Drug Abuse
More than 20 million teens report abusing alcohol. 68% of those say they binge drink.
1/4 of older teens report drinking alcohol and smoking weekly.
THE REASON:
Most do drugs as a way of coping with problems or a way out.
THE PROBLEM:
These methods don't heal the problem. They just lead to more problems.
